Using natural SEO on blogs is the fastest way to get your site ranking high. Therefore we will look at implementing natural SEO first and focus on natural SEO for websites. First we need to take a look at what will be required to make our blog rank high first.

You will need to use WordPress for your blog for this class
You will need to make a commitment to write 10 blog post
You will need to use some WordPress plug-ins to optimize your blog

This may sound like a lot of work, however if you follow the simple steps provided in natural SEO 101 you should have no problem.

The first thing you should do is point the Name Servers of your domain to your Host Gator account. All of the information you need is found at 1and1 and in the Cpanel of your Host Gator Account. It may take 24 hours for this to propagate. Don’t worry you have some fun and creative things you can do while waiting for this to happen.

You will need to pick a theme for your WordPress blog. The theme is the cosmetic layout that your blog will have. There are a few things you will want to make sure your them has built into it.

The sidebar should be on the right hand side
Make sure your theme has RSS on it.
(RSS is the symbol you see at the top of this post it can be any color)
Make sure you like the appearance of your blog
(you want to be proud of your blog)

You can find tons of Themes to choose from at: WordPress Themes if you have some Company logos or artwork you want to incorporate in your blog there is an easy way to do this. I like Einstein as you may be able to tell and could not find a Theme I wanted for this blog. I used this really cool product it comes with a Free Trial to see if you like it. It is called Artisteer You may want to check it out. I truly love this program.

Please take your time selecting or making your WordPress Theme. I will be gone for a few days as my Mother is having heart surgery. This should keep you busy with your Natural SEO blog until I return.

hey Ken,

I can’t wait to apply some of these techniques to my blog. I’ve been very interested in learning SEO, just haven’t had the opportunity to do so. Looks lioke I need to read all of your posts. Keep up the good work. I will keep your mother in my prayers.
